Heal the Sick

This past Memorial Day, I quoted my pastor in one of the first sermons he preached in our series on the book of Mark and the title for today comes from that sermon.

Jesus came to heal the sick and set captives free.

Later on, we’ll dive into captives, but today, I want to look at sick. Sickness is often reminiscent of the spiritual sickness that people experience and only Christ can heal.

Yet, many times there are people who suffer from chronic illnesses that also lead them into mental illness. Today’s challenge is to take care of someone who’s sick. If you don’t have someone sick in your life, visit people at a hospital or donate to Alex’s Lemonade.
