Forgiveness

So, my follow up to asking for forgiveness  is to give it. Now, I’ve had a few conversations about what it means to forgive and if it’s possible to forgive someone who doesn’t ask for forgiveness, so I want to be clear about what I mean. If someone has wronged you and you are still harboring bitterness over it, give that bitterness to God, if they haven’t asked for forgiveness. If they have, that’s great! Seek reconciliation in all things. But like the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, we don’t want to hold out on forgiving someone just because we’re greedy for reparations. We cannot hold out on forgiveness, when God has forgiven so much more.
