January 14th: Words

This is among the most important days. If you’ve participated in these acts of service, yet have been rude, deceitful, or hurtful; you’ve missed the entire point of this challenge. It’s not just about helping one another, it’s about loving one another.

I’ve heard many Christians say, “Preach the gospel, if necessary, use words.” But I say it is necessary to use words. 1 Peter 3:15 says to always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that you have. Likewise, your words must align with your actions or your actions are meaningless.

So, take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) and go the whole day without complaining. Since you’re not complaining, also make an investment in someone else. Compliment someone today. Be honest and mean it.
