January 9th: Thank your grandparents

The most well known king of Israel is King David, his son Solomon is probably the second most well known. However, before David and Solomon were kings, David’s grandmother Ruth was widowed and impoverished. She faced adversity while standing alongside her mother in law faithfully. The journey was long from Ruth and Boaz to King David and King Solomon. Both of these men went on to say great things about grandparents and elders that are recorded in scripture.

Many days, we don’t know what our grandparents have been through in life, what brought them together and brought our parents into the world. If you have the ability to contact them, call your grandparents today. Let them know you love them.
