January 3rd: Feed the Hungry

There are many people in the community where I live that are in need. This past December, I learned that there are over 40 students at Eau Gallie High School that are homeless. Homeless. Forget Homecoming and Prom, forget football games and pep rallies, these kids aren’t sleeping on a bed.

Brevard County residents, Northside Presbyterian Church is collecting nonperishable food items to donate to EGHS’ food pantry and today is the last day of their collection. If you don’t have a church home, we would love for you to donate and visit us this morning. If you are unable to make it to church, please consider donating directly to the school.

Non-Brevard residents, today’s challenge is to find a soup kitchen or homeless shelter to donate these items to.
