Since we have, in humility, asked forgiveness from others, today is the day to forgive with no strings attached. Forgive, not just because a person asked (even if they didn’t ask), but to get rid of bitterness.
Marianne Williamson once said, “Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”
Let go of the hurt today. Write that person a letter, send it, burn it, or pray about it; but don’t let it soak in you anymore.
